About
Welcome to the GRCF! Our primary mission is to raise funds to assist Glen Ridge residents seeking help from accredited local service organizations. We do an annual fundraising campaign, and our biggest fundraiser event for several years has been the spring Fitzgerald’s 1928 Lager Run, the 5-K race throughout the town with a festive finish at Hurrell Field. As an all-volunteer group with minimal expenses other than Lager Run-related costs, virtually all funds raised go right to the social service programs where they are needed most.
Please help us continue to support organizations that need aid to enable them to support our residents. The GRCF has provided funds to the Human Needs Food Pantry, Neighbor to Neighbor Network (direct financial and other assistance), Chrill Care (meals for the homebound), the ARC (programs for individuals with disabilities), the local YMCA, and the GR Volunteer Ambulance Squad. The GRCF also helps to offset the cost of the weekly grocery jitney service for seniors and provides funds for food gift cards and other essentials for residents. We welcome grant applications from any accredited local agencies that provide services to GR residents.
We also welcome anyone who would like to volunteer with the GRCF.
Please help us help our Glen Ridge neighbors. Donations in any amount to the GRCF, a tax-exempt 501C(3) organization, are fully tax-deductible and employer-matchable.
